  • 1. Mix the milk, yogurt and powdered milk in a saucepan and bring to the boil
    Whole natural yogurt (1 Unit) Whole Milk (1 Liter) Powdered Milk (2 Tablespoons)
  • 2. Heat without boiling. Test the temperature with your finger, when you put your finger in and can't leave it in for more than 5 seconds, turn off the heat
  • 3. Pour the contents into glass or plastic jars - Leave open
  • 4. Place the pots in a place that simulates a greenhouse. I use a Styrofoam box without the lid, with just a dishcloth on top, and leave it in the sun. If you don't live in Ceará like I do, you can put a thermal bag inside the box and reheat it as needed.
    Rest time: 6 hours; Total time: 6 hours
  • 5. After about 6 hours, the yogurt will be ready, close the jars and refrigerate.
  • 6. If you want to make your yogurt Greek, just use a coffee strainer, the whey is strained out and the yogurt has a great consistency
